Seeing the word Friendship in Polish for the first time (adulthood does not always proceed childhood, except in some linear conceptions of time), I highlighted the term, left clicked on the word, and under the word "copy" was the command "Search Google for "Druzhba." As a person trained in Data Science, I recall a conversation with Christin Washington, a scholar from Brooklyn, and how she referenced Safiya Noble’s 2017 book Algorithms of Oppression when describing how Google is not an encyclopedia for information, but an advertisement database. The algorithms on Google as well as the search engine optimizations, which are full-time jobs with benefits, are coded in such a way that the highest "item" on the search results, is actually correlated to how well the information was advertise. Thus, it is no wonder why when I search "Druzhba" on Google that the first link is neither to the wikipedia page for the Polish word nor the "automatic" Google Translation textbox that usually appears; instead, it is a link with a brief description of Druzhba --

"Druzhba pipeline" which according to the advertisement of a first result link is "the world’s longest oil pipeline and one of the biggest oil pipeline networks in the world. It carries oil some 4,000 kilometres (2,500mi).."

I wonder about how the description of the bookstore would be different if "oil pipeline" was substituted. In what way would this substitution open up an understand of how words, in the case Friendship, are sometime used as tools for expansion and ravaging Lands to acquire profit? To cover up a horrendous, continuous violence upon Land, a name is given to as a cough drop to a person who has asthma, to shift away from the reality. In this case the word is Friendship:
